The invention relates to a rolling element (1) of a rolling-element bearing, comprising an accommodating bore (2) for a sensor (3), wherein the sensor (3) is retained in an axially immovable manner at a location between the two axial end faces (4, 5) of the rolling element (1) in the accommodating bore (2) by means of at least one retaining device (6) in the rolling element (1), wherein the retaining device (6) contacts an axial end face (7, 8) of the sensor and wherein the retaining device (6) is fastened to a point on or in the rolling element (1) that lies at a distance from the axial end face (7, 8) of the sensor (3). Thus, the sensor can be retained in a rolling element reliably and with low stress. |
