A method and device for verifying authenticity of a terminal are disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. The method for verifying authenticity of the terminal is applied to a server and includes: receiving a verification request sent from the terminal, said verification request carries the machine type of the terminal and the hardware parameters of a predetermined hardware items of the terminal; querying at least one set of pre-stored hardware parameters information of the machine type which is the same as the machine type of the terminal; based on the hardware parameters in the queried hardware parameters information, the corresponding proportion of the hardware parameters, and the hardware parameters of the predetermined hardware items of the terminal, determining a verification result corresponding to the terminal; feeding back the verification result to the terminal so that the terminal can inform a user of the verification result. According to the present solution, a false unique equipment identification code input by manual is avoided, hence, the accuracy and the speed for verifying authenticity of the terminal can be improved. |
