A carburization method characterized in being provided with: a carbon-fixing step for friction stirring a solid carbon supply source that contains carbon and an iron-containing material to be treated and fixing said carbon supply source on the surface of the material being treated; a heating step for heating said material being treated on which carbon has been fixed; and a cooling step for cooling the heated material being treated. A carburized part characterized: in being provided with an iron-containing treated material, a quench-hardened section provided on the surface of the treated material, and a carbon layer, which is provided on the surface of the quench-hardened section and has a cross-sectional shape that is convex downward; and in carbides being dispersed in the carbon layer. |
