PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide recombinant ADN molecules coding hybrid polypeptides of allergens for use in allergen-specific immunotherapy useful for the prevention and treatment of allergies, particularly allergies caused by mites.SOLUTION: Hybrid proteins comprising fragments of allergens Derp1 and Derp2 derived from D. pteronyssinus have reduced allergenicity and retain immunogenic capacity, being particularly useful for the treatment of allergy. The invention also describes methods of producing these polypeptides using heterologous expression systems using host cells of the genus E. coli, and efficient purification methods of these hybrid proteins.
