A superconducting cable intermediate connection member connects superconducting cables to each other, said superconducting cables each being equipped with a cable core having formers and a superconducting conductor layer formed of a superconducting wire on the periphery of the formers. The superconducting cable intermediate connection member comprises: a central portion having, at both ends, fixing portions for fixing the ends of the formers and connecting the formers to each other; a connection superconducting wire connected to the ends of the superconducting wires forming the superconducting conductor layers and electrically connecting the superconducting conductor layers to each other; a wire arrangement portion which is provided outside the central portion and on which an arrangement hole in which the connection superconducting wire is disposed is formed; and an outside insulating portion provided outside the wire arrangement portion and formed of an insulating resin. The superconducting cable intermediate connection member has an attachment portion on the outside insulating portion, said attachment portion being fixed to an intermediate connection box. |
