PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game control method and the like capable of sustaining a player's eagerness for continuation of a game by allowing a player to easily and appropriately work out a strategy.SOLUTION: The game control method includes: receiving an additional instruction for adding game media to a second game medium group; when the game media have been added to the second game medium group, creating display data for displaying a probability that a set of symbols attached to respective game media contained in the second game medium group satisfies prescribed conditions and causing an output part to output the display data; and changing an effect in a battle according to whether or not the set of symbols attached to the respective game media contained in the second game medium group satisfies the prescribed conditions, and executing the battle.
