<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device advantageous in detecting a phase difference.SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: an imaging element (105) having a first pixel and a second pixel which share one microlens and receive light beams having passed through different pupil regions of an imaging lens; division means (109) for dividing the imaging element into a plurality of areas; and discrimination means (109) which, on the basis of the frequency of a subject in each area of the plurality of areas, discriminating whether the read out of the first pixel in each area is a first read out or a second read out.</p> |
