a). treating dl-threo-ritalinic acid with organic acid in suitable solvent; b). optionally isolating organic acid salt of dl-threo-ritalinic acid; c). resolving organic acid salt of dl-threo-ritalinic acid obtained from step b) with resolving agent; d). treating chiral acid salt of d-threo-ritalinic acid obtained from step c) with strong acid; and e). isolating d-threo-ritalinic acid salt. |
