1. A connector pipe screen (CPS), configured for installation into a catch basin of a storm drain, comprising a panel possessing a resistance screen, means for rotatably mounting the resistance screen onto the panel, and means for imparting on the resistance screen a bias towards occupying a closed position, wherein:
the panel comprises an opening into which the resistance screen is rotatably mounted; the means for imparting on the resistance screen the bias towards occupying the closed position connects the panel and the resistance screen such that the resistance screen rotates to: i. the closed position when low amounts of water flow through the resistance screen, and ii. an open position when moderate or high amounts of water flow through the resistance screen; and the screen possesses a plurality of perforations adapted in size and shape to permit water to pass through the screen and impede debris from passing through the screen. |
