The invention relates to a sound absorber (1) for a ventilation system for absorbing sound that propagates along a ventilation duct (LK) in the interior of said ventilation duct, through which ventilation duct air flows, wherein the sound absorber can be integrated into the ventilation duct intended for conducting air or forms a partial segment of the ventilation duct and the sound absorber (1) has at least two sound-absorber segments (2, 3), which are spaced apart from each other in order to form a sound-absorber duct (4) between the surfaces (2a, 3a) of the two segments (2, 3) that face each other, which sound-absorber duct extends from the inlet (5) to the outlet (6) of the sound absorber (1). The two segments (2, 3) are supported in such a way that the two segments can be moved in relation to each other such that at least partial regions of the surfaces (2a, 3a) of the segments (2, 3) can be moved toward each other or away from each other. The invention further relates to a method for controlling the sound absorber according to the invention. |
