PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for independent signaling features supported by user equipment (UE) in a plurality of different duplexing modes.SOLUTION: The UE communicates in a frequency division duplexing (FDD) mode and a time division duplexing (TDD) mode. The UE obtains an FDD-specific feature group indicator (FGI) set and a TDD-specific FGI set, and signals at least one of the FDD-specific FGI set and TDD-specific FGI set. In addition, the UE takes one or more actions to reduce the likelihood of transitioning to a mode of operation that is different from its current mode of operation.
