PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily search for a Chinese word including plural Chinese characters even when search by Chinese character input and search by pinyin input are difficult, in an electronic apparatus having a dictionary function.SOLUTION: When a four tones combination mode in which a word consisted of two Chinese characters is searched from a combination of four tones of the word is set according to search on a Chinese dictionary, a four tones combination list screen is displayed on a sub-screen 16. The four tones combination list screen is a list where combinations of symbols representing first character four tones (a first tone, a second tone, a third tone, and a fourth tone) and symbols representing last character four tones (a first tone, a second tone, a third tone, a fourth tone, and a neutral tone) are listed. When a user selects a four tones combination according to intonation of a word to be searched listened by the user on the four tones combination list screen, words corresponding to the selected four tones combination are searched and displayed on a search word list area. |
