A structure for the rear part of a vehicle is provided with: a lift gate; a light source device covered with the lift gate which is in a closed position; a lens member mounted so as to cover an opening in the lift gate and allowing light from the light source device to pass therethrough when the lift gate is in the closed position; a mounting section for the light source and/or a mounting section for the lens, the mounting section for the light source being adapted for mounting the light source device to the vehicle body so as to be displaceable relative thereto, the mounting section for the lens being adapted for mounting the lens member to the lift gate so as to be displaceable relative thereto; and a positioning section which, when the light source device and the lens member do not have a predetermined positional relationship, displaces the light source device and/or the lens member when the lift gate is in the closed position, thereby enabling the predetermined positional relationship to be achieved.
