PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent aggregation of shape anisotropic members.SOLUTION: A display panel 2 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes substrates 10 and 20 that are arranged opposite to each other, and a light modulation layer 30 that contains a plurality of shape anisotropic members 32, where the shape anisotropic members 32 each include a core being a conductor and a coating layer being a dielectric body coating the entire circumference of the core. The display panel 2 changes a voltage to be applied to the light modulation layer 30 to change the projection area of the shape anisotropic members 32 to the substrates 10 and 20. |
