<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles, in which an incorporated state of metal atoms into spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles can be controlled by an easy process.SOLUTION: A method for synthesizing spherical porous anatase type titanium oxide nanoparticles is provided, which includes steps of: preparing a methanol solution by adding to methanol, titanium isopropoxide or spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles, at least one or more kind selected from metal salts of Au, Pt, Pd, Ag, or Cu, and in a case where titanium isopropoxide is used, at least one or more compound selected from formic acid, acetic acid, benzoic acid, and orthophthalic acid; and heating the methanol solution at a temperature where the methanol turns into a supercritical methanol. By selecting a temperature elevation rate in the above heating step, spherical porous anatase type titanium oxide nanoparticles doped with metal atoms are synthesized, or such spherical porous anatase type titanium oxide nanoparticles are synthesized that contain metal atoms dispersed within and outside the nanoparticles, or include metal atoms in a shell of each particle.</p> |
