PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit improved in holding power for a device body and a lighting device using the same.SOLUTION: A light source unit 2 includes an attachment member 21; an LED module 22; a cover 23; an attachment mechanism; a hook portion 302; and an operation portion 303. The attachment member 21 is formed into a long plate shape. The LED module 22 is arranged on a lower surface of the attachment member 21. The cover 23 is formed into a box shape out of a material at least a part of which has light transparency and is attached to the attachment member 21 to cover the LED module 22. The hook portion 302 moves between a first position at which the hook portion 302 is hooked to a first hook portion provided on a device body and a second position at which the hook portion 302 is detached from the first hook portion. The operation portion 303 is operated when moving the hook portion 302 to the first position or the second position. The hook portion 302 is hooked to the first hook portion in a state in which the light source unit 2 is attached to the device body.
