<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery-powered alarm capable of realizing power saving, displaying a battery capacity to a user, and notifying the user of the possibility that the alarm is not energized if the alarm is suddenly turned off.SOLUTION: A battery-powered alarm comprises: a battery 1 supplying power for driving; sensors 6a and 6b driven by being energized by the battery 1 and detecting abnormality in a monitoring area; a latch type display portion 4 that includes a display member having at least two types of display regions, and an electromagnet 46 changing the display regions depending on whether or not a voltage Vbat of the battery 1 is equal to or higher than a predetermined voltage Vref; and a control unit (microprocessor) 3 exerting control so that the display region of the display portion 4 is set to a first display if the voltage Vbat of the battery 1 is equal to or higher than the predetermined voltage Vref, and otherwise, the display region of the display portion 4 is set to a second display, and so that the display region of the display portion 4 is set to the second display by remaining power if output from the battery 1 is cut off.</p> |
