PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter that makes it possible to obtain high transmissivity by reducing haze and ripple development in a transmission band while restraining the number of layers.SOLUTION: An optical filter 10 comprises a substrate 11 and an optical thin film part 20 in which multiple layers (high refractive index layer 12 and low refractive index layer 13) are formed on the substrate. The optical thin film part includes: a first short wave pass filter 22 that is constituted by alternately stacking a high refractive index material having a relatively high refractive index and a low refractive index material having a relatively low refractive index sequentially from a side closer to the substrate; a second short wave pass filter 23 that is constituted by alternately stacking the high refractive index material and the low refractive index material which have a film thickness thicker than the first short wave pass filter; and a third short wave pass filter 24 that is constituted by alternately stacking the high refractive index material and the low refractive index material which have a film thickness thicker than the second short wave pass filter.
