The present invention relates to a paging method for a machine-type communications (MTC) terminal and an apparatus thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for transmitting and receiving a paging message for the MTC terminal by classifying the paging message from a general terminal, and an apparatus thereof. Specifically, the method for receiving a paging message for an MTC terminal includes a step of monitoring a plurality of paging occasions per discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle; and a step of repetitively receiving indication information for indicating the paging message or the paging message through a plurality of sub frames or a plurality of wireless frames.
