Provided is a method for manufacturing a reinforced electrolyte film provided with a first reinforcing film on one surface of an electrolyte film and a second reinforcing film on the other surface of the electrolyte film. The manufacturing method includes (a) a thermocompression step in which the first reinforcing film and the second reinforcing film are pressed onto the electrolyte film while being heated. In the step (a), the number of times the second reinforcing film is thermocompressed onto the electrolyte film is less than the number of times the first reinforcing film is thermocompressed onto the electrolyte film.
