[Problem] To provide a technology with which the remaining paper currency can be discharged from a dispensing slot when irregular paper currency is present, thus eliminating the need to open the door of a cashbox in order to recover paper currency. [Solution] A cash processing device (10) equipped with; dispensing slots (102) from which paper currency is discharged; a recognition unit (104) that recognizes paper currency; a transport path (103) along which the paper currency is transported; and a control unit (210) that, when paper currency being transported is recognized as being irregular by the recognition unit (104), controls the transport path (103) so as to transport the relevant paper currency to the dispensing slots (102). |
