This invention is directed to prevention of communication interference from occurring between two or more wireless communication networks having mutually different physical layers. When there coexist two or more wireless communication networks which have mutually different physical layers and in each of which wireless communication is performed between each of a plurality of devices and a coordinator, the coordinator (3a) in a wireless communication network (10a) generates coexistence notification frame data to be used for notifying its own existence to the coordinator (3b) of another wireless communication network (10b); encodes the generated coexistence notification frame data; inserts, as source code data, the original data before being subjected to that encoding into the data as subjected to that encoding, thereby generating FEC data; modulates the FEC data by use of Gaussian frequency shift keying (GFSK), thereby generating a GFSK modulated wave signal; and transmits the GFSK modulated wave signal to the coordinator (3b) in the other wireless communication network (10b).
