PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for encoding/decoding a motion vector.SOLUTION: The method of encoding a motion vector includes: a step 1510 of decoding information about a prediction motion vector of a current block encoded according to a mode selected from among a first mode and a second mode; a step 1520 of decoding a difference vector between a motion vector of the current block and the prediction motion vector of the current block; a step 1530 of generating the prediction motion vector of the current block on the basis of the decoded information about the prediction motion vector of the current block; and a step 1540 of restoring the motion vector of the current block on the basis of the prediction motion vector and the difference vector.
