摘要 The present disclosure relates to an image capturing device, an iris device, an image capturing method, and a program which make it possible to capture a multi-spectroscopic image by a more compact mechanism. An image capturing device is provided with an image capturing element for capturing an image of a subject, an optical system for forming an image of light from the subject on the image capturing element, and an iris mechanism for limiting the amount of light passing through the optical system. The iris mechanism comprises a plurality of diaphragm blades for adjusting the size of an opening through which the light from the subject passes, and an optical filter which is provided in at least one of the plurality of diaphragm blades and through which light of a predetermined wavelength is transmitted. In a state in which the optical filter provided in the diaphragm blade is concealed by the diaphragm blade other than this diaphragm blade, the plurality of diaphragm blades are driven to a position where the opening becomes to have a predetermined size, and the diaphragm blade in which the predetermined optical filter is provided is sequentially driven at a predetermined timing such that the opening is covered with the optical filter. This technology is applicable, for example, to an image capturing device provided with an iris mechanism.
