A WC flush cistern (1) comprises an actuator (5) provided with a metal shape-memory element (6) subjected to a dimensional change as a response to its temperature variation. In particular, the cistern actuator (5) comprises at least one metal shape-memory element (6) connected to the shutter element (4), and means operable by the user to impart a temperature change to the metal element and, therefore, control the displacement of the shutter element (4) between the closed position and the open position of the discharge opening of the cistern (1), thereby obtaining the rinsing of the WC.
