MENISCAL REPAIR SYSTEMS AND METHODS Abstract A device (10) for repairing a tear in a portion of tissue, the device (10) comprising: a proximal actuator portion; a needle (32) for dispensing suture into the tissue to be repaired; a retractable insertion sheath (16) for covering the needle (32) when the device (10) is inserted into the procedural site; and a depth limiting apparatus (22) for limiting the depth of insertion of said needle (32) into the procedural site; wherein said proximal actuator portion comprises an insertion sheath actuator for retracting said insertion sheath (16).
