<p>The car (1) has a driver assistance system (2) provided with a control device (3) for controlling automatic longitudinal guiding of the car. A navigation system comprises a memory unit that stores position-dependent specific road data (6) and position-dependent specific road attribute (7). A position determining system determines a geographical position of the car. The control device predictively determines a road section lying in front of the car based on the determined position and the road data and controls actuators based on the attribute that is associated with the determined section. The road attribute is selected from a group consisting of preset speed, road curve, curvature of the road curve and/or topographic road information. The driver assistance system is designed as an adaptive cruise control (ACC) system. An independent claim is also included for a method for longitudinal guiding of a motor car.</p> |
