<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture-conditioning material which is produced using chaff or cedar charcoal carbonized by a carbonizing device carbonizing a material while agitating in a non-oxygen atmosphere and has high moisture-conditioning performance. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a moisture-conditioning material including chaff or cedar charcoal as a main component, produced by carbonizing chaff or cedar through a carbonizing device at 300-700°C while agitating in a non-oxygen atmosphere.
