<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for smoothing a switchover of a frame rate. <P>SOLUTION: A reproduction device comprises: reproduction means that reproduces video data at a first frame rate; and control means that controls reproduction of the video data in the reproduction means. The control means detects a switching position to a second frame group captured at a second frame rate higher than the first frame rate from a first frame group in the video data, and with respect to frames included in a predetermined period after the switching position among frames included in the second frame group, groups them into plural groups, reproduces one frame for each group, and gradually decreases the number of frames constituting the plural groups according to the lapse of time in the predetermined period to thereby cause the reproduction means to perform reproduction at the first frame rate, and with respect to frames not included in the predetermined period among the frames included in the second frame group, causes all the frames to be reproduced at the first frame rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
