PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound type secondary battery which can surely secure insulation between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate even when an internal temperature of the secondary battery increases.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 10 is a wound type secondary battery which encapsulates a wound type electrode body 11 configured by winding a positive electrode plate 31 and a negative electrode plate 32 in a flat shape, and electrolyte 13 in a battery case 12. The electrode body 11 has a R part 14 formed between flat parts. A insulator 21 transmitting the electrolyte 13 is at least arranged between a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate from an innermost circumferential side of the winding in the R part 14. The insulator 21 is arranged across the whole width of the electrode body 11 in a winding axial direction. |
