A method for processing electrical signals in an electronic counter-measures (ECM) system comprises locating temporal peaks in received radar, lidar or sonar signals at high speed and throughput rates. The signals are converted into a plurality of electrical signals, each electrical signal having an associated magnitude value; a set of peak values is generated from the magnitude values, the set of peak values indicating peaks in the plurality of electronic signals. A plurality of first indexes is generated from the peak values, the first indexes indexing respective ones of the peak values; at least one second index is generated from the peak values, the at least one second index indexing at least one of the first indexes; at least one third index, based on the at least on second index, is selected from the plurality of first indexes; and at least one of the electrical signals is selected based on the at least one third index. |
