<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and an information display apparatus which have more excellent usability. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of sub-displays 12L and 12R constitutes a display device 10. The sub-displays 12L and 12R are connected to respective edges of a main display 11, which are opposite to each other, by a hinge 13 so as to be openable/closable. Each of the sub-displays 12L and 12R is provided with a display screen on the front and rear surfaces thereof. The sub-displays 12L and 12R in a closed state cover a display screen of the main display 11 to form a first display screen 1.
