The present invention relates to a capo for strings, and more specifically, to a capo for strings, comprising: a fingerboard of a neck, on which strings are arranged in the strings; and a first pressurizing body and a second pressurizing body to pressurize a rear portion of the neck, wherein an ascent and descent means to ascend or descend the first pressurizing body and the second pressurizing body in a mutual vertical direction is introduced to pressurize and fix, with the same force, each of the strings horizontally arranged according to the fingerboard of the strings commonly, thereby playing excellent music more exactly. To achieve the above purpose, the capo for strings according to the present invention comprises: the first pressurizing body to pressurize the fingerboard of the neck, on which strings are arranged in the strings; the second pressurizing body to pressurize the rear portion of the neck in the strings, and having a vertical space part therein; and the ascent and descent means to ascend or descend the first pressurizing body and the second pressurizing body in a mutual vertical direction, wherein the ascent and descent means comprises: a guide member of which one side is coupled to the first pressurizing body, and of which the other side is inserted into the vertical space part to guide an ascent and decent; a fixing body installed in the second pressurizing body, and having a penetrating hole which the guide member penetrates, and an outside handle; and an elastic body to force the fixing body to be swing-displaced upwards, wherein the diameter of the penetrating hole is formed to be greater than the diameter of the guide member.
