The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for measuring similarity of a building. The apparatus for measuring similarity of a building includes: a database which categorizes and stores a comparative group of buildings based on qualitative and quantitative factors; a candidate building selection unit which selects multiple candidate buildings, which are qualitatively similar with the target building, from the database by using the qualitative factors; an element weighted value calculation unit which calculates factor weighted values between selected quantitative factors by using relative importance ratios between two factors selected from the quantitative factors of the candidate buildings; a relative weighted value calculation unit which compares a data value of the target building with data values of the candidate buildings with respect to each selected quantitative factor and calculates relative weighted values; a result similarity calculation unit which calculates result similarity with respect to the factors of the candidate buildings by using the factor weighted values and the relative weighted values; and a building selection unit which calculates similarity of the candidate buildings by using the result similarity and selects an optimal building. According to the present invention, a comparative building similar with the target building can serve as a model for maintenance and repair by using quantified data related to buildings. Moreover, a cycle of maintenance and repair, as well as related expenses can be predicted by considering characteristics of buildings.
