A light emission quantity estimating apparatus (3) for an LED (101) has: a photodetector (105), which receives light emitted by the LED (101); a light receiving range changing means, which is capable of changing the range of the light that is to be received by the photodetector (105), said light having been emitted from the LED (101); and an operation unit (151). The operation unit (151) estimates the light emission quantity of the LED (101) by performing measurement in a plurality of different light receiving regions with respect to one LED (101) by means of the light receiving range changing means.</p> |
