<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method causing no generation of cracks in hot working without subjecting the surface of a material before rolling to diffusion joining with Ti upon production of a Ti-TiC synthetic material by hot working.SOLUTION: When Ti powder and TiC power are mixed, and the mixture is pressure-molded into a synthetic material, it is subjected to the pressure molding at 95°C or lower so as to be a molded body, the molded body is heated at a temperature of 300 to 1,200°C, and is then subjected to hot working. In this way, the generation of cracks in the hot working can be prevented without subjecting the surface of the material before the rolling to diffusion joining with Ti. It is preferable that the pressure molding is performed by cold isotropic pressing (CIP). It is preferable that the heating and the hot working are performed in a state where the molded body is sealed with an iron plate.</p> |
