[Class 144 (i)] A device for use in detaching tyres from wheel rims comprises a hooked member 16 for engaging the rim-flange 31, a second hooked member 17 adapted to engage between the rimflange and the tyre-bead at the diametricallyopposite portion of the rim, a hand-lever 18 connecting the hooked members for forcibly drawing them towards one another, and a tyrelever 19 adapted to fulcrum on the hook 17 for forcing the tyre-bead away from its rim-seat. At its operative end, the lever 18 has a series of notches for selective engagement with pins 25 on the member 17, and a removable pivotpin 22 for securing the lever by adjustment in the appropriate hole 21 along the member 16. In a modification adapted for use on one size of rim and tyre, the hand lever has a forked end straddling, and pivoted to, the rim-engaging arms.
