The method involves impinging the grouped articles by an application unit (16) during a handling movement with the help of the application unit that is following the conveyed articles in sections and are put into another handling process in temporal connection with the former handling process. The articles are integrated into a container (18) during the former handling process by a band-like strapping that is attached by the application unit and clasping the articles in horizontal direction. An independent claim is also included for an application unit for use in a container manufacturing device for handling two articles integrated into a container.
