The present invention relates to an automatic opening and closing device for a sliding window using a ball screw to allow the automatic opening and closing of a sash frame using a ball screw for converting the rotatory power of a motor into linear reciprocation, and a lift sliding window including the same. To achieve this, the automatic opening and closing device for a sliding window comprises: a sliding driving part (110) placed on a window frame (10) to be in parallel with the longitudinal direction of a rail (11); a horizontal moving member (115) joined to the ball screw (113) to be slid back and forth in order to convert rotation motions into linear motions; and a power transmission member (117) fixated to the horizontal moving member (115) to be integrated. In addition to this, the lift sliding window comprises: the window frame (10) provided with the rail (11); a lift sliding sash frame (20) to be automatically operated and moved up and down on the rail (11); and an opening and closing device (100) provided on the window frame (10) to automatically open and close the lifted sash frame (20).
