DOOR SYSTEM

A door system for a passenger service vehicle 200 comprising a passenger door 310 for providing passenger access to and from the vehicle 200. The passenger door 310 has an interior and an exterior, and comprises a first door leaf 320 and a second door leaf 330. Each of the first door leaf 320 and the second door leaf 330 has a closed configuration and an open configuration, the open configuration opening towards the exterior of the door 310. At least a portion of the first door leaf 320 overlaps exteriorly with the second door leaf 330 when both leafs are in a closed configuration. The system 300 is configured such that the second door leaf 330 is moveable to the open configuration when the first door leaf 320 is in a closed configuration. Optionally the first leaf door 320 is configured as a service door for a vehicle and the second leaf door 330 is configured as an emergency door of a vehicle.
