A bit interleaver, a BICM apparatus, and a bit interleaving method are disclosed. The bit interleaver according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first memory which stores an LDPC codeword of which the length is 64800, and a code rate is 4/15; a processor which interleaves the LDPC codeword by bit group unit of the size corresponding to a parallel factor of the LDPC code word, and generates an interleaved codeword; and a second memory which provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for 256-symbol mapping.
