<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid transporting flexible tube which is excellent in flexibility and long-term reliability without degradation in strength of an axial force reinforced layer and is lightweight, and further provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the fluid transporting flexible tube, a resin layer 5 is provided on an outer periphery of an interlock tube 3. An inner-pressure resistance reinforced layer 9 is provided on the periphery of the resin layer 5. An axial force reinforcing layer 10 is provided on the periphery of the inner-pressure resistance reinforced layer 9. The reinforcing strip making up of the axial force reinforcing layer 10 is made of fiber reinforced plastic. A water shielding layer 11 is provided on the periphery of the axial force reinforcing layer 10. The water shielding layer 11 is formed by winding double-layered tape around itself. The water shielding layer 11 prevents water that entered from the outside from permeating the axial force reinforcing layer 10 inside. A protective layer 13 is provided on the periphery of the water shielding layer 11. The double-layered tape 17 is composed of a metallic layer 19 and a resin coated layer 21.
