The device has a capacitive coupling type communication interface (25) to exchange confidential communication with a user device. A radiofrequency type communication interface (23) sets up an encrypted radiofrequency type link with the user device. A processing and memory unit (27) transfers authentication information of the user device and erases the authentication information after transmission using ISO14443standard interface. A contactless type communication interface (22) communicates with the authentication information received from the user device. An independent claim is included for a authentication method between user device using capacitive coupling communication to start encrypted radiofrequency communication and access control device of contactless type using modulated electromagnetic field.
