The invention provides a driving device of a synchronous motor; refrigeration apparatuses, air conditioners and refrigerators using the same; and a driving method of the synchronous motor. The driving device of the synchronous motor can properly detect shaft lock, and comprises: a control unit (100) used for outputting control signals to switching elements of an inverter circuit so as to drive the synchronous motor with a no-position sensor; and a current detection unit used for detecting output current of the inverter circuit, or bus current of a DC side, and outputting to the control unit (100). The control unit (100) calculates an input effective power according to current correlation value inputted from the current detection unit as well as voltage command values relative to voltage applied to the synchronous motor, determines that the shaft lock is generated in the synchronous motor when the input effective power is less than a predetermined threshold value, and stops driving of the synchronous motor. |
