<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat alkaline battery which has a high capacity, and is excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The flat alkaline battery comprises a positive electrode composed of a compact of a positive electrode mixture containing at least manganese dioxide, a negative electrode including zinc or zinc alloy particles, a separator, and an alkaline electrolyte, which are all encased in a battery container including an exterior can, an aperture-sealing plate and a resin gasket. The specific surface area of the manganese dioxide contained in the positive electrode mixture is 15-30 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g. It is preferable that the positive electrode mixture contains silver oxide and/or silver-nickel complex oxide. Also, it is preferable for the flat alkaline battery that the positive electrode mixture compact has an outer peripheral part disposed between an inner surface of the exterior can and the resin gasket. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
