<p>A connector, for connecting a neck 220 to a rim 210 of a banjo 201, comprises: a connector rod 230 having a head and a tail; a first fastener for fastening the tail the banjo rim; and a second fastener for fastening the head to the banjo rim and neck to thereby connect the banjo neck to the banjo rim. The second fastener comprises: a dowel screw 240 having a rod end and a neck end; and a head-piece 250 for the connector rod arranged for receipt of said rod end of the dowel screw and defining a chamber. The rod end of the dowel screw extends into the chamber; and provided to the rod end of the dowel screw, an adjuster wheel adjusts the positioning of the dowel screw and the head-piece. Preferably, the connector rod is a squared rod with a protective end-piece on the tail end. The dowel screw preferably comprises a wood screw thread at the neck end and a bolt screw thread at the rod end. The adjuster wheel may be a spoked wheel with spaced cavities for receipt of an adjuster tool.</p> |
