<p>A hearing system includes a first hearing aid, the first hearing aid comprising: a first microphone for converting sound into electrical signals; a processor communicatively coupled to the first microphone, wherein the processor is configured to provide an output based on the electrical signals from the first microphone; a first speaker communicatively coupled to the processor, and is configured to provide an acoustic signal based on the output provided by the processor; and a first communication device configured to receive a control signal transmitted from a second hearing aid in response to a reception or detection of a signal associated with a phone by the second hearing aid; wherein the first hearing aid is configured to reduce a gain of the first hearing aid to a non-zero value in response to the control signal received from the second hearing aid.</p> |
