A task of the present invention is to provide a semiconductor device restraining the operational lag accompanied with supplying stop and resumption of power potential. Maintained data is stored in a first and second nodes during a period continuously supplying power potential. Potential corresponding to data is stored during a period stopping supply of power potential in a third and fourth nodes. And after resuming the supply of power potential, data restoring is performed in the second node using change of a channel resistance in a transistor using the third and fourth nodes as a gate. In addition, through current is restrained by non-conducting a connection between the power potential and the first or second node when restoring the data.
