PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for improving the utilization efficiency of light by suppressing leakage of the light reflected on a first reflection part from a protrusion formed for fixing a light guide body to a support base as much as possible, in a linear light source for reader including a light guide body, an LED element, a reflector arranged to face the light guide body, and a support base for supporting the light guide body, where a first reflection part and a first light-emitting surface facing it, and a second reflection part and a second light-emitting surface facing it are formed in the light guide body.SOLUTION: A light guide body 1 is provided with a first protrusion 4 and a second protrusion 5 located substantially on the opposite side from each other in the radial direction while projecting in the radiation direction. The light guide body 1 is mounted on a support base 6 by the first protrusion 4 and second protrusion 5 and fixed in place, and the projection length of the first protrusion 4 closer to the first light-emitting surface 3a on the circumferential surface of the light guide body 1 is shorter than that of the second protrusion 5. |
