<p>The objective of the present invention is to enable an imaged document to be edited in a relatively simple manner. An imaged document (60) is displayed on the display screen (3A) of a cellular phone (1). Locations in a table (61) which the user wants to change are designated as handwriting input regions. Character strings (display character strings) displayed in the designated regions are recognized. Characters are input into the designated regions, and the character strings that have been input (written character strings) are recognized.
